Installation of Solpoint RTU in 500kW Parks in Schimatari
Photovoltaic park technology is constantly evolving, aiming for optimal efficiency and management of the energy produced. In this context, MOBACT undertook the installation of the Solpoint RTU system in a 500kW photovoltaic park, located in Schimatari. This project constitutes another important step towards the smart and efficient management of solar energy, utilizing the Solpoint RTU technology for the monitoring and remote control of the installation.
The role of Set-point RTU in the performance of photovoltaic parks
Solpoint RTU is an advanced RTU Set-point (remote control and telemetry unit), designed specifically for photovoltaic parks. This device allows for the continuous monitoring of critical parameters of the park. Through integration into a central management system, park managers can receive real-time data and alerts, ensuring immediate intervention in case of malfunctions.
The Set-point installation process in 500kW Parks in Schimatari
The installation of the Solpoint RTU in the 500kW parks was carried out by MOBACT's specialized technicians, following the best practices for maximum reliability and efficiency. Initially, a study was made of the existing infrastructure and the needs of the park, in order to select the optimal installation points for the devices. Then, the installation of the Solpoint RTU units, their interconnection with the ABB REF615 relay and the local communication network through the Huawei Smartlogger 3000, as well as the configuration of the software for the correct collection and analysis of data.
One of the advantages of the installation was the ability to interface the Solpoint RTU with the existing EFACEC SCADA system of HEDNO. Thus, the park gained the ability to be remotely managed and controlled via Setpoint, with simultaneous access to analytical data and performance reports.
After installation, communication tests and control functions, ensuring that data is transmitted correctly and the system response is direct and reliable.
